2009 Pre-fair Information Linn County Fair information State Fair
April 12th THIS
IS THE 90 DAY RULE! After this date NO-ONE except the member may be on
there horse. - TURN YOUR LEASES INTO THE COUNTY OFFICE!!!
The agreement is between the state 4-H program and the state OHSET From Robin Galloway's email dated 4-1-09 Recently, Oregon 4-H and OHSET signed an agreement that (among other things) allows some exceptions to the 90-day rule. However, this new agreement should not be viewed as a free pass on the 90-day rule. First, this only affects 4-H horses that are used by more than one person in OHSET. Second, the exemption only lasts to the time of the last district OHSET meet or the state meet for those who qualify. Third, while the exemption allows other people to be on the 4-H horse after the 90-day deadline, those “other people” must be the OHSET competitor(s) using the horse. The exemption does not allow trainers, non-OHSET riders, or other OHSET riders who are not using the horse in competition to ride the 4-H horse. Feel free to have people contact me if they have questions. Thanks, Roberta Roberta Lundeberg Program Coordinator 4-H Youth Development
